REALTIME FX CONTROL FROM YOUR GUITAR or PEDAL!
The MidiUp is a fantastically compact tool
to generate MIDI CC data in response to movement in a control
like a knob or a volume pedal. It can even work with a knob
installed INSIDE your guitar! This finally gives guitarists the
ability to vary real-time parameters in their gear from a
control that's right at their fingertips.
The MidiUp can transmit data (0-127) on a
single Midi Controller (0-15) over a single midi channel (1-8).
The unit can be reprogrammed "on-the-fly" simply by sending a
Program Change message from any attached MIDI device such as a
pedal board, keyboard, or controller. (Say goodbye to DIP
switches or buggy "diving" software forever!) With
this function you can
spontaneously choose both which device and parameter the MidiUp will operate.
The flexibility to spontaneously choose
parameter and channel makes the MidiUp more powerful than any
other realtime controller in its class. For example, one program
might adjust reverb depth and another might vary distortion
level in different effects processor. If your MIDI controller is
able to send program change "bursts" you can use single foot tap
to call up complex "scenes", each with a program for each device
in your rig and a different function for the MidiUp.
