MidiUp Features & Specifications

MidiUp Panels

The Input Jack is a stereo (tip-ring-sleeve) jack and connects to a guitar with a stereo guitar cord. The tip is hard wired to the Output Jack to pass audio untouched while the ring is tapped to create the MIDI Data. The Input Jack can also be used to connect to a standard volume pedal (250K to 1M) using a standard (mono) guitar cord.

The Output Jack is a mono (tip-sleeve) jack hard wired to the input jack to pass the guitar audio signal to the effect or amplifier using a standard instrument cable.

The MIDI Indicator blinks every time a MIDI data packet is sent out in response to the moving pot or volume pedal.

The LO/HI Indicator lights whenever the the low or high extreme of the pot is reached giving a visual indication that the full allowable range of MIDI data (0 to 127) is being transmitted in response to the pot movement.

The MIDI In Jack connects to any other standard midi controller or another MidiUp.

The MIDI Merge Out Jack connects to another midi device and outputs all MIDI data received at the IN jack, merged with data generated by the MidiUp

The Power Jack connects to the supplied power module and operates at 9V DC @ 200ma with the center pin positive.

Dimensions: approximately 5-1/2" X 3" X 1-1/2" in size.

Configuration: The MidiUp can transmit data (0-127) on a single Midi Controller (0-15) over a single midi channel (1-8). The following table show how incoming program change messages correspond to the midi functions of the device (Program Change # / Midi Channel / Controller Change #).
