TOSS THOSE MECHANICAL FOOT SWITCHES!
The FootSim contains 4 midi controlled
relays accessible through two stereo 1/4" jacks. It is used to
replace the mechanical push/push or momentary footswitches
commonly used to switch amp channels, tremolo, reverb etc.

Depending on which MIDI program change
commands are used the individual relays can be turned on, off,
toggled, or pulsed (pulse relays are used with devices that
require a momentary contact instead of a "make or break" switch
and used for the "tap" function of some delay units.) You can
even assign some relays as on/off and others as pulse.
Using the FootSim is a great way to automate
the channel and reverb switching of your amps while selecting
various presets on MIDI FX devices all under MIDI footswitch
control. It responds to both Controller and/or Program Change
messages generated by any kind of MIDI controller. |
