Introducing the Cosmix: the only
product to provide Automation and Adat to MTC conversion in one
all-analog system!
This all analog automation
system mixes 8 input channels (expandable to 128) down to 2 or 4
outputs under MIDI control. With 4 times as many gain cells as
the other automation systems, the Cosmix can automate sonic
circles around your audio with room to spare. But the real
power in the Cosmix is in what you don't hear. No noise, no
distortion, no little clicking sounds when you change gains and
no VCAs! It's so quiet, it's scary.
 The
built in Adat Time Code to MIDI Time Code (MTC) convertor makes
it possible to chase lock your favorite sequencer software to
the exact Adat time. With this feature all fades, pans, and
mutes performed using your sequencer graphic faders and controls
are recorded to the sequencer tracks in exact sync with the Adat
tape position. So you can locate to any position on the tape
and hear your mix with absolute repeatability. In this way you
are free to mix just a few tracks at a time, rewind the tape to
the start of the song and then mix other tracks. Add a few
pans, cross fades or level changes any time you want. Then when
it's ready to go to DAT or CD, just press play one last time and
your project is complete. And yes, you can even control the
Adat transport from your computer.
 The
effects loop allows connection of a stereo signal processor to
the mixer. The levels and pans from each channel to the
processor are independent of the main outputs. This gives you
the freedom to mix in a little effect on one track while adding
a lot of effect to another.
The Cosmix can be instantly configured as an 8 input by 4 output
matrix (expandable) with separate level adjustments from any
input to any output just by using a different set of MIDI
controller numbers. Add this to the very smooth and fast
response and you have a real time controller for live
multi-source multi-speaker surround applications. The system
can be expanded to 8, 12 or more speakers.
All this for under 25 bucks a fader!
